The carriers above are the publicly known major networks in Uruguay — not every plan connects to all of them. Check the “Local network” line on each plan for what your SIM actually uses. Network quality and coverage are determined by the local carrier; we make no speed guarantees.

Device compatibility
Quickest check: dial *#06# and look for an EID entry — if you see one, your phone supports eSIM.
Good to know
- All plans are data only — no local calls or SMS; WhatsApp, Signal and other internet messaging work fine.
- Your eSIM runs alongside your usual SIM, so your own number still receives WhatsApp / SMS — no need to remove it.
- Validity starts on the day you first connect to the local network, not the purchase date.
- A QR code can usually only be scanned once — don't delete the eSIM profile after installing.
- “Unlimited” plans are usually full speed for the first X GB, then unlimited at reduced speed — not full speed throughout.
- Some plans don't support hotspot sharing — check the plan description before buying.
- Prices are settled in Hong Kong dollars (HKD) via KPay (HK) or Stripe (overseas).
Uruguay eSIM FAQ
What's the difference between “1GB/day” and “10GB total”?
Daily plans give you a fixed allowance each day (e.g. 1GB) — speed drops after you use it up, then resets the next day. Total-data plans share one pool across the whole trip (e.g. 10GB over 7 days) — use more on some days, less on others; once it's gone you'd buy another.
When does my Uruguay eSIM activate?
Activation is automatic and usually completes within 30 seconds of payment. The QR code appears on your order page and is emailed to you. Install before you travel; after arriving in Uruguay, just enable data roaming.
Does my phone support eSIM?
iPhone XS / XR or later, most recent Samsung Galaxy (S20+) and Google Pixel (3+) all support eSIM. Dial *#06# — if you see an EID, you're supported.
How are the days counted?
Validity starts the day the eSIM first connects to a network in Uruguay — not the purchase date. Buying a few days early is fine.
Can I share a hotspot?
Most plans support hotspot sharing so you can share data with travel companions. Check each plan's description to be sure.
What payment methods do you accept?
All prices are in HKD. Hong Kong / mainland China customers pay via KPay (FPS, PayMe, Alipay, WeChat Pay, cards); overseas customers are automatically routed to Stripe, which accepts all major credit cards.
What if something goes wrong with my order?
You can check your order status any time via your order link. If activation hits a problem our system alerts the local team automatically. Need a human now? WhatsApp 5745 9845 or email [email protected].
